Comments:
What I did was insert the hardware id for these microsoft cards into an older version of the broadcom drivers, and at least for me it works perfect. I noticed a lot were looking for this driver, and I found some instructions to use the vista drivers from the broadcom site. Didn't work for me so I made these instead!
Just open device manger, right click your wifi card and choose update driver. Then just point it to the folder where you saved this and it should install, click install anyway if you get msg about can't verify vender, yada yada yada.
This should work with mn-730, mn-720, or others with a compatible hardware id of PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4325
Hope this gets some old hardware up and running!!!!
Feedback is appreciated. Let me know if it worked for you!!
THIS IS A FIX OF MY OTHER DRIVER UPLOAD
After consulting with my cousin (hats off cuz for pointing out my sloppiness) I decided to tweak this driver a bit. Instead of reporting itself as a Broadcom 802.11a card it is now identified as "Microsoft Wireless PCI Adapter MN-730/720."
Also you will now get the correct driver settings for the 802.11b/g 730/720 in the driver properties, instead of getting the settings for the 802.11a.
Apologies for the mistakes, and if you don't feel like changing, the other drivers DO work. This is just cleaner, ENJOY!! Please let me know if it works for you!
