3Com 3C589D-TP, 3C589D Network Driver

(may work for other 3C589D cards and other versions of Windows)

Here's a recipe that will work. Sorry I cant provide a self contained driver at least

this method will get that card going.

STEP 1. Install the windows 2000 driver for a 3COM 3CCFE575BT 10/100 nic.

I have included that driver w2k575bu here for your convenience (I installed this driver

with a physical card, but this may not be necessary).

STEP 2. Copy the el589nd5.sys file in the Winnt/system32/drivers

directory, then insert the 3C589D-TP card. Voila !

I am not sure how I installed it initially, but on a clean fresh Windows 2000 SP3 laptop

that recipe works.
